Book a call

Well, here I am at the cross,

so glad you have come here too. Granted, it isn’t the easiest place to be—Jesus would agree with that. But while I’m sitting here, maybe even kneeling, I see some of the things I have had to lay here.

There is quite a pile, at the foot of the cross, of my own ‘stuff.’ Now I’ve tried to carry all my burdens myself, thinking God couldn’t manage them without my help. After all, it felt like he had made some mistakes in the past.

Let’s pause here... this is the God who created the universe and placed the stars in the sky. He created man, woman, and everything and breathed life into it. And he needs my help?!

So some of the ways I took things into my own hands was to turn to fear, anxiety, and worry. What a plan! What a lie of the enemy really, and my own heart, that these things would care for me better than God.

Do you have any things you turn to?

So here I am at the foot of the cross, broken, messed up, hurting, and failing. And it’s ok—I’m ok. Life tends to get that way, especially when I try to control things and do it my way.

So I am learning something. There is Someone who knows better than I do, just a little anyway (hopefully you smiled), and I’m hoping to trust him more in the days ahead. He is trustworthy, and he loved me so much that he suffered on a cross for me, taking the blame for all the bad things I have done.

What a friend, what a Savior, offering heaven for me while he went to hell. Now that’s grace.

In time, you will hear more of my story as we explore together here, and we would love to hear your story too. Let’s pray, support one another, and learn how to live, as together we come to the cross.

I invite you to sit, or kneel, at the cross and ponder what Jesus may say. Let's listen today...
